David Gottesman

David Gottesman (born 1926 or 1927[1]) is a businessman appearing as #336 on Forbes' 2007 list of billionaires.
He began a friendship with Warren Buffett in 1962[1]. He was an early investor in Berkshire Hathaway and today owns 19,000 shares worth $2 billion[1]. He founded the investment advisory firm First Manhattan in 1964[1]. He joined the Berkshire Hathaway board of directors in 2003[1]
He lives in Rye, New York, and is married with three children[1]. He is an avid swimmer[2].
